Carrington Lauzon is a Registered Massage Therapist at Beach Chiropractic and Wellness Centre. She completed her massage therapy education at Lambton College in Sarnia and has since taken an interest in Pain Science/Neuroscience, Myofascial and Soft Tissue Release. Her academic studies and interests in holistic health have led to an open-minded understanding of alternative and evidence-based research and practices. She encourages a holistic, natural, and integrative approach to health care and feels that providing massage therapy is an expression of her values and interests.
Carrington enjoys providing massage therapy for the wide variety of benefits; from treating chronic and acute soft tissue injuries to reducing anxiety and stress-related tension. Her approach is goal-oriented to provide pain relief and reduce tension within muscles, increase mobility, and enhance well-being. Carrington also enjoys educating clients on self-care management strategies. RMTs are more than just hands-on healthcare professionals and can advise their clients on proper ergonomics at home and at work, tips to improve posture, and provide stretching and strengthening exercises to help improve their condition.
Carrington has a special interest in treating head, neck, and jaw (TMJ) related conditions. She has additional education in temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, which has assisted in providing treatments that connect chronic neck pain, headaches, migraines, ear pain, and tinnitus with jaw tightness. Her other treatment interests include pain and reduced mobility of the shoulder joint, sports injuries, and overuse conditions.
Out of the office, Carrington participates in many outdoor pursuits including hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, nature photography, and gardening.
Carrington enjoys being part of the dynamic team at Beach Chiropractic. Her experience treating a variety of conditions with a diverse population will allow her to create individualized plans to ensure effective outcomes and get her clients feeling better, moving better, and getting more active.
